Creating Reality From Within
Many of us have heard of the term manifestation by now. Some of you might have already put manifestation into a category of "woo woo." While the rest of you may genuinely believe in the miracles of manifestation. Whether a sliver of you believes it or not, I'm glad that you are here to read this.
I will say, a large portion of social media made the practice of manifestation look like a whole lot of delusion. It's difficult to trust when a person suggests "you can have whatever you want in life." It sounds unrealistic, like they just paved a road to disappointment.
So, is manifestation a form of false hope? Or, is there a miraculous intervention here?
I will admit that I have asked myself those questions lots of times. Though, allow me to tell you a short story of my personal experience with manifestation.
As a very young girl, I was first introduced to the practice of manifestation. It really interested me that there was this possibility I could bring forth any of my desires into reality. Though, I didn't pay too much attention to it at the time, as I happened to be fine with what I had. As I grew a little older, I faced terrible things. My reality turned black and white and it became difficult for me to remember the last time I had felt happiness. Once I had finally hit my rock bottom, I decided that it was time for a miracle in my life. I didn't have much to lose, so I put my faith into manifestation. Into the universe. And ultimately, into myself.
I read so many books, watched countless videos, and explored endless articles. The more I searched for information, the more it felt as though I was discovering the puzzle pieces I had been missing. The same pieces I needed to create my own vision of the future.
I was not only discovering a sacred language of the universe, but also uncovering the sacredness within my own being. I realize that we are, in fact, one sacred existence in unity. Manifestation taught me that miracles do exist and that our very own existence serves as the proof of it. I brought forth a reality that turned colorful, and I now continue to grow into the person I once desired to become.
Now, what exactly is manifestation?
We are always manifesting. It is not something that we can simply turn on or off. I personally like to think of manifestation as a mirror or a radio. The idea of it being a mirror basically suggests that our reality is a reflection of our inner world. Our inner world, being our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. This means the lens through which you perceive the world directly influences your reality.
This may seem pretty simple or even obvious to some. Though, simplifying this idea can contribute to a larger realization — that your thoughts affect your behavior, decisions, and perceptions, which then shapes the outcomes of your reality. Here's an example: Believing you are a successful person leads to acting more confidently, noticing more opportunities, and eventually becoming that successful person.
Now, my favorite way to think of manifestation is by comparing it to a radio.
Imagine your mind is the radio. Your thoughts and emotions are like the radio receiver — tuning into certain experiences just like a radio tunes into stations.
Imagine your beliefs are the radio frequencies. A radio plays different music depending on its frequency. In the same way, if you believe you are already the person who has your desires, your identity begins to shift, and you start walking, talking, and acting accordingly.
If we don't like what song is playing on the radio, we change the station. Likewise, if we don’t like the reality we are living in, we have the power to change it.
Explaining manifestation like this, turns it from being something easily perceived as "woo woo" to practical.
Though, it is important to understand that manifestation is not about controlling the universe, but about transforming the self. Only you are responsible for bringing forth your desires. This does not mean avoiding negative emotions or fearing that every thought shapes your fate — it means choosing growth, shifting your mindset, and breaking cycles. Manifestation is not about fighting your emotions, but about becoming conscious of who you are and who you choose to be.
